Celery is a vegetable that can be purchased throughout the year and you can use this plant in the regular diet because it has positively influence on your health. It has only 7 calories, 320mg of magnesium, 16 mcg folate per 100g of roots.

The word celery comes from the Latin word celery, which means fast action, and that is vary thru – celery has positively influence health. Leaves and roots are rich in essential minerals, vitamins and nutrients and essential oils that give the plant a strong and distinctive odor. These oils have an effect on the nervous system and act calm.

Scientists have proved that celery contains phthalide - substances that act on relaxing the arteries and allow them to expand, also reduce the amount of stress hormones that also affect the contraction of blood vessels. It was confirmed that the lowering of the concentration of bad cholesterol.


Celery is a good source of vitamin C, which helps to reduce cold symptoms and improves immune system response.
